Red Olive – Event Space

Melbourne DJ Hire worked at a big 18th Birthday over the weekend at the Red Olive restaurant in Heidelberg. The Red Olive was a large family style Italian restaurant with plenty of space and seating in the dining space. Alternatively, the Red Olive also had a large enclosed function space which it hires out for events. Another great aspect of the venue was the outdoor space that was adjoining to the function room where guests could sit to enjoy the open fire and some fresh air

Since it is an Italian restaurant, there was a lot of choice on the menu, there were many flavours of pizza, there were mini burgers and because the party was for a Greek family, they had requested that the restaurant serve some grilled chicken and lamb so that guests could make their own souvlakis. 

The private function room at the Red Olive restaurant was a large space that could easily fit 100-120 people cocktail style, the left side of the room also had 3 large seating booths for guests to relax and gather around for a chat or to have their meals. There were some bar stools and seats set up closer to the food table so guests could find a spot to enjoy their food. 

But the main attraction of this 18th birthday was the stage for the Melbourne DJ. The stage was fitted with 4 in house speakers, some very impressive rotating and flashing lights and a large screen that covered the backwall of the stage. The main objective of the night was to dance, the hosts had invited a lot of guests and the dancefloor for full for most of the night. Our Melbourne DJ played the popular club charts, then moved on to some pop and rnb music then we played some traditional Greek music to get the family onto the dancefloor.
