Calibar – Djs Melbourne

Melbourne dj hire’s photobooth company Beauty and the Booth were hired for a 21st birthday last weekend at a fancy hidden venue in the industrial areas of Scoresby. Calibar is a trendy cafe decorated with ambient hanging lights, crawling vine leaves and indoor plant decor and chalkboard walls which have fancy font advertising their special meals and function room hire.

 

As this trendy cafe is located in an industrial area, there is a large carpark, great wheelchair access, there is also a large deck area if you would like some outdoor seating on a nice day. The function room itself has a large square layout and can easily fit 150 guests cocktail style and large enough to fit a long table set up for a formal dining style function for a wedding or corporate function.

 

There is a dance floor close to the entry so the Melbourne Dj set up his decks there and played mostly pop music throughout the night and then played more rnb bangers at night when the birthday girl finished her speech. There was a large wall when you entered that had a chalkboard wall and the event manager wrote ‘happy birthday’ to the client and that’s where the cake table and lolly bar was set up.

 

As the venue is a cafe during the day there is a huge selection of canapés to choose from. Arancini balls, sliders, mini pizzas and much more was on offer on the night. Calibar also has a catering business if you are planning a party at home and would like a professional business to cater the food.

 

Calibar is a great venue for a Melbourne Dj to work at. It is easy to find with ramps and plenty of parking. There is a lot of room inside for a dance floor and also plenty of room for other suppliers like photobooths, dessert bars, flower walls and much more. It’s definitely worth checking them out if you are planning an event in the area.
