Dating Events

Melbourne DJ Hire recently sent a photobooth to a dating event. It wasn’t like a speed dating event that you would imagine, but more like an afternoon tea filled with games, introductions and activities. Our client has a network of single people in a wide range of age groups and they hold these lunchs so that their members could meet other single people. Our photobooth was set up so that friends and guests could take photos in front of their balloon display during the break. 

The dating event was held at the Jishan Gardens function room and members would pay to come to the event and enjoy an afternoon with lunch and games. The guests had alternate seating of ladies and gentlemen and there was also a host to administer the games, guests would work together and chat so that they could also get to know each other. Then after the first meals were served the guests came out onto the garden grounds for some fresh air and they could also take some photos in the photobooth. 

Our photobooth attendant encouraged guests to take photos with their friends, a lot of the girls also took some photos by themselves. When it is a networking event and you want to encourage guests to connect, it is important to have some activities planned in order for guests to have something to do during the break. The organisers for this event set up jenga and other board games in the garden for the morning break. They also organised a large balloon backdrop so guests could take photos.  

Our Melbourne DJs have worked at a number of different dating events. A lot of these networking and meet up events are held at a bar and guests come in alone and open to meet up with new friends. There is a bar so attendees are drinking along and we usually play some fun commercial pop and rnb songs and towards the end of the night guests will be on the dancefloor having a great time together.
