School Disco’s

Melbourne Dj Hire have been booked to perform at a school disco in the coming weeks and they have also booked one of our roaming photographers to capture some photos of the students. The school is separating the different year levels into two groups, the early half of the night will be for the younger students who are in prep to grade 3, then the later part of the night will be the grade 4 to grade 6. They have also hired a party starter to come in and be on the mic and entertain the kids with some dancing games and encourage everyone to dance. 

When our Melbourne Djs have been hired for a school disco, the party usually happens at the school hall. These school halls are usually a very blank space with brick walls and maybe some school signage around the stage. Our Melbourne DJs will bring our lights and we also have smoke machines but it is also a nice idea for the parents to decorate the hall with party decorations. Our roaming photographers have suggested to the organisers to hang fairy lights around the venue. If the lights are turned off then there isnt any point in decorating the venue with so many streamers, buntings and other decorations as they will not be seen once it is dark. But if you decorate the space with fairy lights it will not only light up the hall with ambient lighting but create a great look in the photos. 

Since the school is having a disco session after the first session, it is important that the parents and volunteers dont have a spend a long time cleaning up after the first session. So they have also decided that there wont be any food or drinks at the disco. Decorations like balloons, streamers and fringe backdrops will usually get ripped or popped by the kids so we suggested to avoid using those decorating items if you dont have time to clean up the space.
