Latrobe University – O Week
Melbourne Dj Hire were hired by one of our university clients for their large Orientations events for their students. La trobe university hired our Melbourne Djs and our photobooth for their one week event to welcome their students back to university. For some of the students this was their first large event at the university. During Covid a lot of the events were paused due to restrictions and new health and safety rules so there uni students just went to school for class instead of networking and socialising.
During the la trobe OWEEK our Melbourne dj was set up in the middle of the large social square with our controller and 2 speakers and played music during the lunch break while the students roamed around the square. Our Melbourne dj played all the hit songs that are out on the radio and even some throwback tracks and club songs so that we get the engergy going. We kept the vibe going all through the lunch break while all the new students were getting to know all the other social clubs and also lining up for free food and drinks. There was a gelato cart, sausage sizzle, chicken skewers, pancakes and so much more.
La Trobe really makes a big effort to involve their students at uni and really try to make the university feel like a community. Throughout the year they will organise a talent search, games nights, Octoberfest, Halloween and so many more pub and dance parties at the Uni’s on site bar The Eagle Bar. Almost every time they hold an event they will invite our photobooth to be apart of the event so that their students can have some fun and make some memories with their peers.
La Trobe OWEEK is always a great event to work at, we see familiar faces everytime and love seeing the students coming together enjoying uni life.
