Wedding Photo Shoot
Last week Melbourne DJ Hire sent one of our Melbourne DJs to play at a relatively small wedding which was very low key. The couple also hired our photographer to shoot the wedding. The wedding was held at a local bistro that also had a hotel attached to it. There wasn’t really anywhere where our photographer could take a wedding photo shoot at the bistro so our photographer did some research and found a lake about 5 minutes away from the venue. The short drive meant that the bridal party and the photographer could quickly duck out of the reception and get some stunning photos and also get back to the reception in time for the entrance.
Weddings run behind schedule rather than early. So when planning a wedding photo shoot, couples should allocate at least one hour for the shoot. Sometimes, the car might be late to pick up the bride, or there is a lot of traffic on the way to the ceremony, the guests will want to congratulate the couple and have a chat after the ceremony. Our photographer always has the run sheet with them so that they keep the bride and groom on track in terms of the timeline. There was one wedding our photographer worked at where the limo broke down on the way to the reception, our photographer was meant to have one and a half hours to shoot the couple but instead we ended up only having 15 minutes, we really pushed though and got all the photos done but it was very rushed. During that wedding our photographer took our couple out to the garden during dusk to get some more couple shots. The photos turned out really well was definitely worth taking walk out of the reception and capturing those photos.
