Cultural Performers at Weddings
Cultural Performers at Weddings
Melbourne DJ Hire worked at a relatively big wedding over the weekend and the couple who got married were from 2 different cultures. The groom was Macedonian and the bride was Mauritius. The first part of the evening was relatively chill, with the ceremony, then some family photos and some couple photos, followed by some drinks and capapes and dinner. The real action though happened when the cultural performers came in to put on a show at the wedding.
The first cultural performer was the Macedonian trumpet player, this talented musician connected his instrument to our Melbourne DJ’s equipment and he then roamed the dancefloor playing his trumpet to the Macedonian wedding music. The guests all come to the dancefloor in crowds to dance and celebrate. One family member even got out his phone to stream the entire event. Guests were singing into the mic, they were dancing up on chairs and the dancefloor was filled with smiles.
Next set of cultural performers were the Mauritius dancers, this duo of dancers came in with their impressive costumes and a high energy dance. After their 10 minute performance was finished they encouraged the bride and groom to come to the dance floor and have dance too. The bride who was Mauritian also chose to wear a wedding dress that she could expand and twirl around taking advantage of the Mauritian atmosphere in the room. The Melbourne DJ also played the tracks these dancers needed for their performance.
When there are other performances at an event, our Melbourne DJs are always prepared and will often liaze with the performers before the big day, we try to get prepared and make sure we have the songs ready to go, we make sure we have the equipment that is needed to connect an instrument to our speakers to make sure everything runs smoothly on your big day.
