Melbourne Dj Hire recently heard of one couple actually searching for a large caravan or camp locations to hold their wedding. The couple wanted a festival style wedding and was asking around the Facebook hubs if anyone knew of any locations that could hold a casual reception as well as have space for their guests to come in on their caravans, trailers and camping gear. 

A lot of these venues were obvious in regional Victoria, Mornington, Daylesford and places like Monbulk will have sites with plenty of space for camp locations. Couples could hire an external marquee provider and but will also have to set up their own chairs and tables. They will have to organise space for the catering as well as organise the power and other logistics for the other suppliers like Melbourne Dj or other performers. It is very rare that we see a couple build a venue from scratch as it is a large cost to organise everything. But certain couples have a vision of how they would like their wedding to look and they won’t stop til their achieve it. 

But if you are only after a low key festival vibe and would like a camp location so that your loved ones can spend more time at your wedding, there is a much simpler option. Most campsites should have their own hall and the couple could decorate and lay out the hall to suit their wedding theme. Power and bathrooms would not be an issue and there will be plenty of natural locations to take photos. Our Melbourne Dj has worked at a low key wedding before where the couple had booked a casual hall like venue for their reception and most of the guests stayed at a caravan park within walking distance and most of the guests got to drink and party til the late hours of the night. The next day the couple organised a buffet breakfast for all the guests.
