Lifting Restrictions on House Weddings

Melbourne Dj Hire used to work at private house weddings every month. But since Covid, our bookings at house parties have totally dropped. Just recently there was a limit to only allow 15 guests at a house at the one time. But this week the premier lifted that number to 30 people. Having 30 guests at a household can still be a great gathering but it is hardly a party that would need a Melbourne Dj. 

Lifting restrictions on house weddings to 30 guests will let some couples go ahead with their big days. They can still go ahead with their ceremony and have their closest family and friends at the house wedding. Melbourne Dj Hire have a few clients who will be having a small intimate wedding at their properties. But will be throwing a bigger party style event at a venue at a later dater. 

Melbourne Dj Hire are starting to get booked for a lot more weddings at venues  in the coming months. Lifting restrictions on house weddings will have a long way to go as the Premier has mentioned on numerous occasions that guest are a lot more relaxed at homes and may not go through the strict health and safety guidelines as a venue with enforce, like sanitising hands and thorough cleaning procedures in shared spaces and high touch areas. Once there is a lift to allow 50 guests per household then a lot of people will start planning their at home events. 

At all the house weddings that Melbourne Dj Hire have worked at, the couples really spend a lot of time thinking about the details with the decorations. They decorate and style their house with so many Pinterest ideas and you can really tell that they love the blank canvas to work with. We really hope that we will see the return of property weddings in 2021.
