Guests paid for the wedding
In the last Melbourne Dj hire post we talked about one of weddings our Melbourne Dj worked at where the guests paid for the wedding. The bride and groom had just purchased a house and couldn’t afford to pay for a lavish wedding so their generous family and friends threw a wedding for them.
The guests paid for the wedding by funding the following. The grooms sisters both contributed to the Melbourne Dj and because Melbourne Dj hire have photobooths and photographers for hire their uncle paid for the roaming photographer, and grandparents paid for the photobooth hire.
The dad of the bride opened up his house to group of close friends and family and the parents of the bride paid a catering company to provide a finger food package to the guests. The mums, aunties, sisters and friends also cooked meals and brought them to the party. Favourite recipes like curries, stir fries, rice dishes and desserts were provided on a long table in the outdoor entertainment area.
The friends of the groom all chipped in for drinks, buckets of beer, a table of a few spirits and mixers were just perfect for the do it yourself bar.
A few of the friends of the bride had some left over decorations from their own parties and they were in charge of decorating the outdoor space and transforming it into a special party space with fairy lights and pom-poms.
This was one of the most special weddings Melbourne Dj hire worked at and it wasn’t because the guests paid for the wedding. It was because there was a closeness and togetherness with all the guests. They were either all very good friends or it may have been because they all worked with each other planning the party and setting up the space. Everyone was just happy to be in the same space celebrating the love of the new couple.
