Melbourne Dj Hire is so disappointed that Melbourne is once again in lockdown due to the recently outbreak of Covid 19. Since December of 2020 our team of Melbourne DJs, photobooths and photographers have been regularly booked out for functions. We have also been able to help our clients from 2020 reschedule their weddings and events this year as a lot of them had to cancel and postpone their events from the lockdowns last year.
One really heartbreaking thing that comes out of lockdown 4.0 and even the last snap lockdown we had in February was the fact that we had rescheduled weddings during both of these lockdowns. Couples who had postponed their weddings from 2020 would now have to cancel or postpone their big day once again. The last lockdown that occurred in February was announced on the Friday so a number of suppliers had already ordered and purchased supplies liked flowers, food, drinks, the cake had already been made, so all the couples who were to have their weddings that weekend was unable to recoup any of their deposits or payments.
One client of Melbourne DJ Hire was completely devasted and upset about the snap lockdown that they just decided to cancel the wedding all together. In situations where events are cancelled, it is in our terms and conditions that the deposits are non-refundable, but in the situation of lockdown 4.0 Melbourne DJ Hire will work with our clients to provide an alternative solution like holding the credit for a timeframe so that the client can use it on an event in the future.
A lot of clients who’s wedding was affected by the lockdowns still ended up throwing a wedding after party once restrictions lifted and that was when they used up their credit for a Melbourne Dj, photographer or photobooth for this wedding after party. It was definitely a fun way to celebrate the marriage by have an informal get together with all their friends and family.
