Byblos Function Room

Melbourne Dj hire worked at a 21st at the Byblos function room over the weekend. The event was organised by the mother of the birthday girl and our Melbourne DJ and roaming photographer were booked to look after the event. The parents also organised an incredible balloon display by James Kreates Balloons.

Byblos is a Lebanese and Mediterranean restaurant that is surrounded by the Melbourne waterfront. The upstairs function room has a balcony that overlooks the Yarra riverfront venues and has a great sunset view of the Southbank skyline. Even though it was a cold winters night, the guests still went out on the balcony to take some portraits of the city water views. This balcony space would also be a great spot for guests to hang out at in the warmer months.

Our roaming photographer was kept busy that night with taking photos of the birthday girl and all her friends in front of the balloon backdrop and the balcony. When you do hire a photographer for an event, it is a good idea to also book a balloon backdrop or some form of backdrop display to encourage guests to take photos with the photographer. As these parties are usually held at night, there is also less light for guests to take great photos, our photographers always bring their own separate lighting so there is never any issue if it is a dark venue.

Byblos also had a great catering menu full of Mediterranean dishes, there was a range of different dips and bread, skewers of all sorts and pastries that were the perfect finger food. It is definitely something different than the usual, sausage rolls and arancini balls that are served at a lot of other function venues.So if you are planning on organising a function close the the city and accommodation, then the Byblos function room would be a great spot to hold your party. There are great views an and stunning rooms and not to mention the exception menu.
