Throwback – Dj Hire

Melbourne Dj Hire also sends a lot of Melbourne DJs to local pubs and bars to play music for the patrons. For the last few years it has been quite trendy at pubs and bars to play a snippet of a throwback tune. The first time we heard a throwback tune at a venue was back in 2013. One of our Melbourne djs were visiting a bar in the city and the DJ played a throwback of the Super Mario Brothers theme song, the crowd went wild for it.

 

Then a couple of months later we heard another Melbourne Dj drop a song we haven’t heard in years. It was the theme song for an old Aussie kids show called Round the Twist. The crowd really got into it and sang along. It is a bit of fun and nostalgic to think about a time when you were young and having no worries in the world enjoying a cheesy tv show and playing on your game boy.

 

Since the success of Melbourne djs playing these old school throwbacks our Melbourne djs have actually included playing little snippets of the tracks into our sets. We have used the theme song from the Tetris game before, Pokémon song was a good one at an Asian wedding we worked out recently.

 

Our Melbourne djs are always welcoming new songs and sounds to incorporate into our sets so if there are any songs that you would love us to play at your party please send us some throwback ideas. The cheesier the better.
