Melbourne Dj hires photobooth company Beauty and the Booth recently provided an open photobooth for a youth event at the Brunswick Mechanic Institute. The venue is in a prime location on the busy street of Sydney Road. With easy access via public transport either on the train or the tram and there is even a bus stop next to the venue. The great aspect of the of venue is also that there is quite a good size car park behind it, which is very rare to find a venue on a busy street to have its own carpark.
The Brunswick Mechanic Institute has a large foyer for the guests to enter into and there is also a bar set up in there for guests to grab a drink before they enter into the main space. The main space of the venue is a large hall space perfect for a dance floor or any function. The walls are all set up with black curtains, there is a projector and even some in built seating if a performance or screening is part of the event.
The event we worked at was for Halloween and there were spooky clips from black and white vintage movies projected on the screen that was behind the Melbourne Dj. The Melbourne Dj played a lot of pop and commercial music for the young crowd and also some throwback tracks like Toxic and Thriller which were popular with the crowd. 2 young Melbourne party djs played for a couple of hours each on the night to mix it up. The first Dj played commercial pop tracks and the second Melbourne Dj played trance and electro music that was remixed into some pop songs.
The Brunswick Mechanic Institute was a very interesting place to work, we had no idea that the venue was available to hire for functions and would definitely recommend it to clients who are looking to hold a medium to large scale event in the area, especially if it is a public event drawing young people as it is in a trendy area with great access to public transport.
