Bar Rouge
Melbourne DJ Hire worked at Bar Rouge over the weekend. This event was for a girls 18th Birthday and the parents hired a Melbourne DJ, and open photobooth and also a roaming photographer to provide the entertainment for the event. The parents also set up a candy bar and fondue station for the guests to enjoy the novelty of a chocolate fountain.
Bar Rouge is a dark underground function room with open brick work and lush curtain dividers at the lower level of the Zagames family restaurant in Caulfield. The room is divided into two sections, a comfortable lounge seated area which is close to the bar and also great for the older relatives who would like to relax with a drink and chat away from the dancefloor. The other room is a large long dancefloor room which is equipped with their own in house sound system. Our Melbourne DJ patched our gear into their system and played music throughout the whole function space.
The birthday girl was a dancer and was part of a large dance group, so our Melbourne DJ was kept busy during the night with all the song requests and even playing a remix from one of their dance routines, which was skilfully performed on the dancefloor. The birthday girl was Jewish and had a large family who was eager to get on the dancefloor to dance to their favourite Jewish songs, it was full of energy and special moments which our roaming photographer was so happy to capture.
Our open photobooth was also set up in the corner of the room and was extremely popular with the birthday girls different friendship groups from school and her dance friends, cousins and family members. If you have a large community of friends and family, hiring a photobooth is a great treat for your guests to enjoy and even take a little memento home with them.
