There are a lot of solo Melbourne Djs out there and they take on a lot of jobs to keep themselves busy. There are a lot of Djs that work alone and they work at a number of different types of events, weddings, corporate jobs and birthday parties. The difference between Melbourne DJ Hire and a solo independent DJ is that we have a whole team of staff on board and are not reliant on a handful of DJs to play at all our different events.
We have a large team of over 40 Melbourne Djs and they all vary in age groups and genres and even gear. A few Djs on the team are young and fresh and play a great mix upbeat commercial songs which are perfect for kids parties, school discos and 18th and 21st birthdays. Then on the other scale we have older djs in the 40s and 50s who play great old skool anthems and really get the older crowd going on the dancefloor. We also have a large selection of equipment, with the standard package including 2 speakers, party lights and a mic. But we also have sub woofers which are perfect for a large venue or outdoor party, we have smoke machines and other types of dancefloor add ons.
Another pro of booking with an agency is that you are not relying on he one performer for the day. Unfortunately, there are times when a performer could be sick an unable to perform at your event, if you book with an agency and your allocated Dj was ill and unable to work, we would send one of our other staff members to perform at the event and brief them on the run sheet and information he would need for the night.
As a popular agency, we get numerous calls throughout the year where couples or organisers are frantically, looking for an available DJ because their DJ has fallen ill or cannot attend the event for some reason.
