Songs For Wedding Djs
If you are planning a wedding and are booking Melbourne DJ Hire to play on your special day, then there will be a lot of correspondence with our team in the lead up to your event. We will be with you during the process of planning your reception and give you advice on your run sheet. Most people don’t get involved in planning a large-scale event like a wedding and they will probably only plan an event a couple of times in their lifetime so it is important to book a company that has a lot of experience in the industry.
When you first book with Melbourne DJ Hire, we will first ask you for a run sheet so our wedding Dj will know what is happening during the night. We will usually ask our client to create their first run sheet draft and from there we can help you fine tune it and then we will ask for a list of songs for the wedding DJ to play.
The most obvious song we would need is the first dance and most people do have a rough idea of what their first dance song will be. Some couples even take private dance lessons months prior to the wedding to really impress their guests. The father daughter dance is also another important dance which usually follows the first dance, so if you are planning a father daughter dance, we will need a song for that too.
Other songs we need are the entrance songs into the reception room, you will need some fun upbeat songs to get the crowd going when you enter the room for the first time as a married couple. Some couples even provide us with an exit song and the crowd could form a circle to say goodbye to the couple. Some couples will choose to do a sparkler send off where the guests line up in 2 rows and the couple walk down the isle that the guests have created and exit the wedding into their wedding car.
Other songs you may need to think about are walking down isle or a song while you are signing the wedding certificate, but these songs are earlier in the day during the ceremony. The celebrant you have hired will usually be happy to play that on their speaker system.
So if you are planning a wedding soon, we hope this article helps you to narrow down and list all the songs you will need to include for your big day.
