Melbourne Dj Hire sent one of our experienced DJs and roaming photographers to a 30th Birthday celebration at the Bells Hotel in South Melbourne. This venue was really a true gem as it was freshly renovated, it was large and had a lot of character from the old architecture. The Bells Hotel is conveniently situated off the busy Clarendon St so it is easily accessible via public transport and plenty of parking nearby. There are also multiple function spaces available for hire as well with a couple of rooftop function spaces overlooking the Melbourne city skyline.
The function space we were booked to work in was the rooftop bar, the venue space was the perfect space to hold an event in the afternoon and evening as you got to see the Melbourne Skyline and also get the open rooftop with the fresh air and the breeze coming through the space. Rooftop bars are not only look great and have a priceless view, but they are also a good option for parties that have a lot of smokers attending. This means that guests were able to stay in the function area and have their smoke break there as opposed to heading downstairs and be away from the party. 
There is also a lift to go from the third level down to the ground floor, so it is very convenient for guests who cannot access stairs and even more convenient for a Melbourne DJ or other suppliers to load their equipment and bump in. 
Apart from the impressive rooftop bar, The Bells Hotel also has a number of different function rooms. There was a large size function space which over looks the rooftop bar. This large space was the perfect spot for a big engagement party and can even be used for a wedding. There were also a couple of smaller sized function spaces indoors, a smaller upstairs and another downstairs.
