DIY Bar – Melbourne Djs

The other day one of our Melbourne Djs worked at a private house party where a DIY bar was set up. There was a high table displaying bottles of popular spirits, different types of beers and wine and also a punch mix. There were 2 bartenders serving drinks to the guests. So that guests were not helping themselves. 

At some parties that Melbourne Dj hire have worked at the hosts have asked some of their friends or family to man the bar station. At other parties the hosts have just organised a few large tubs and filled each tub with different types of drinks like beer, soft drinks and wine. Some parties we have worked at have even set up different punch drink fountains. They are a great option for kids parties where the kids can pick and choose which fancy punch they would like to have. 

A DIY bar is a great way to save some money at your function. Some parties we have worked at have actually hired just a couple of young bartenders to serve the drinks. That is a great idea if you don’t want any of your friends and family to miss the party by manning the bar. Some of these independent bartenders advertise their services on Facebook marketplace and gumtree. Other party service contractors like cleaners and cooks also offer their services at an hourly rate to help tidy up and prepare the food. 

So if you are organising a house party try setting up a DIY bar. It will be a place where people can select their drinks and a space where they might be able to mix their own drinks.
