Dumplings – Melbourne DJs
Melbourne DJ hire worked at a function over the weekend where they only served one cuisine. Dumplings! It was a house party for a 21st birthday and it was mainly an Asian crowd. The birthday girl had turned the alfresco area at her parents house into a party area with a dance floor and a Melbourne Dj. When Melbourne Dj Hire arrived to set up and play it seemed like any other 21st house party, but then the food came out. There was a whole table set up with different types of dipping sauces and slowly the different types of dumplings came out.
Melbourne DJ Hire have seen dumplings being served at a lot of events, but this is the first time we have been to an event that only served dumplings and it was actually a great way to cater for the guests. Not only are dumplings tasty but there was minimal rubbish at the end of the night. The dumplings were brought out on their platters and each guests had a bamboo fork to pick up the dumpling and dip in the sauce. The were not bags of plastic bowls and plates and cutlery in the bin. It was actually quite amazing how only one bamboo fork was used per person on the night.
The guests seemed to really enjoy the different flavours of dumplings too. Steamed, boiled, fried dumplings were on offer. The were also vegetarian and gluten free options for some guests. When we actually spoke to the parents about what a great idea it was to have dumplings as party food, they told our Melbourne DJ that they actually owned a dumpling take away store so all the dumplings actually came from their shop. They said they also sold a range of other foods but the birthday girl and her uni friends loved eating dumplings so thats why they went with an all dumpling menu.
So if you are planning a party and you have guests who love eating dumplings, it might be worth while looking into an all dumpling menu. They are delicious, there are many options for people with dietary requirements and it looks like they are very eco friendly because you only need a bamboo fork!
