Photography Lenses – Dj Hire

Our photographers are trained and talented professionals who use a range of different photography lenses. For example some of our photographers like taking portraits so they have lenses that focus on the face, some photographers love taking candid photos so they have a zoom lens that lets them take photos of people from far away. 

When Melbourne DJ Hire book in a photographer we will always ask them to bring lenses that can do a combination of everything. All rounder lenses are zoom lenses that can take photos of large groups and as well as zoom in to take a close up of someones face. Our photographers usually use these all rounder zoom lenses so we don’t miss a moment because we don’t have the appropriate lens on. When the group photos have been taken, some of our photographers came to prime lenses. These are lenses that give a real blurry background and make the subject pop from the background. The downside to a prime lens is that it cannot zoom in and out. So if our photographers are in an are with a tight space then we cannot zoom out. 

Some of our photographers also use wide angle photography lenses, these lenses are usually for landscapes but when you use a wide angle lens on a dance floor you can get some really amazing shots. The wide angle lens lets your get really close to the subject but you also get a lot of other detail into the photo. We also use wide angle lenses for very large group photos, sometimes at a party and usually always at a wedding, the host will want a photo of everyone in a group photo. In that situation we usually use a wide angle lens to get everyone into the shot.
