Melbourne DJ Hire’s photobooth company was hired to provide a photobooth at a retirement home in Frankston. The facilty was called Regis and there was a retirement village where residents had their own units, there was also a section of the facility that had a cafe and resturant area where residents could gather around and have a social event. The retirement home held a summer party for their residents and their families and booked a photobooth from Melbourne Dj Hire as well as a singer, a sausage sizzle, a bar and also a face painter.

All the residents got to have some fun with their friends and their families, the residents who had their families and grand children visit got to take photos with their families and also enjoy a nice day full of food and enjoy some classic music. The grandchildren also took advantage of the free face painting and photobooth. It was a great way to keep family and friends also involved in what is happening at the retirement home and get to mix with the staff.  

At an event such as a retirement home event a Melbourne DJ might not be suitable, unless we played music from the 1920’s or 1930’s the residents wouldn’t really be interested. But our clients got the entertainment right on the day and sent a singer who sang all the classical music that everyone knows. The guests faces lit up everytime they heard a song that they knew and some were dancing in the chairs and some even got up to have a dance. Then the singer sang songs from the 60’s like Ray Charles and Nat Cole King and they were also a big hit with the guests.  

Our Melbourne DJs have actually never worked at a retirement home but we have sent a lot of photobooths to take some fun photos a lot of aged care facilites and it has always been a hit for the guests to have some fun and also have a momento to keep of their friends and family.
