Entertainment Ideas at a Christmas Party
It is that time of year again, we are almost at the end of the peak period of Christmas Parties. It can be daunting at times organising a Christmas party especially if it is your first time. What are people going to be doing? How will I set it up? Who do I need to book? These are all questions you should be thinking about when planning entertainment ideas at a Christmas Party.
The team at Melbourne Dj Hire, worked at a Christmas party of the weekend, where the organiser hired our Melbourne DJ, roaming photographer and open photobooth for their Christmas party. The client was a small nursing agency and a majority of the guests were ladies. Because it was such a small crowd, partners were also invited to join the party and that helped boost the numbers so that it did feel more like a party. The Christmas party was set up as a sit down dinner, with entrees, mains and roaming cocktails, it was actually a very simple event.
The event organiser did a great job because the night was split up with some action in the photobooth in between all the meals, then some speeches and awards. Then the company did something different by organising a secret Santa and also giving away a lucky door prize to one of the guests. The company then gave out Christmas bonuses to their staff and then hit the dancefloor for the remainder of the night and kept the open bar going.
If you have a guest list who are not too fond on drinking or dancing, then prizes and gifts and games are a great way to keep everyone entertained. Lucky draws, raffles and even some games on the dancefloor are a great way to have fun and the amazing prizes are a great incentive as well.
