Melbourne DJ Hire’s photobooth company Beauty and the Booth was hired to provided a photobooth for 6 days during Chisholm Tafe’s orientation week. The generous institute hired Melbourne DJ Hire for 6 days to travel to each campus to provide photobooth services for the student events. Chisholm also organised a Melbourne DJ, free food, free prizes and henna art at the functions.
The Melbourne DJ was hired to play some upbeat tracks to attract the crowd and also to provide a party atmosphere to the student events. The Chisholm staff also set up colourful decorations around the space to give a fun vibe to the event. The decorations used were paper honeycomb pom poms and paper pinwheels, an environmentally friendly move to provide minimal wastage to an event. A popcorn machine was also hired to provide free fresh popcorn to the students and there was also a long line of people waiting. Free Paella was also on offer during the orientation week. Students got to line up to get a free bowl or chicken or vegan paella which was a perfect lunch option. It actually turns out that the owner of the paella catering company was also a student at Chisholm and she is invited back every year to feed the students and the next generation to chefs that come out of Chisholm institute.
Students events are always a great day for Beauty and the Booth, the students love taking photos with all their friends and there is always a constant line at the larger campuses. Having a photobooth at student events during the start of the school year gives the students an opportunity to bond by having fun and then also receiving a photo at the end of the session. One of the student events our Melbourne DJ worked at, there were a group of students that came out of their orientation class, then our photobooth attendant asked them if they wanted a photo and a group of 8 students jumped in and then after the photo they started introducing themselves to each other. That was a great example of why photobooths are so popular and how they can bring fun and joy to events
