Photographer or Photobooth
As you may be aware, Melbourne Dj Hire have a team of talented photographers and also a range of different photobooth machines. Some clients who have the budget to hire both machine get the best of both services. The photobooth machine gets your guests up from there seats and it is something fun for your guests to experience and then at the end they get to take home a little life long memento. Our photographers are there to capture moments on our cameras so that you don’t have to worry about taking your camera out to capture anything. We take photos of details, speeches, large group photos, candid shots and so much more.
Some clients do not have the budget to book both a photographer and a photobooth. So this blog post is about whether you should book a photographer or photobooth for your function. For a birthday or a ball where people are dressed up and there is a lot going on like dancing, speeches and a lot of hugging and mingling we would suggest booking a photographer. The photographer can roam around the room taking shots of every moment. Sometimes at balls there are quite a lot of formalities and a lot of the times the venue requests that all the guests be seated while they are serving the food. That means that if you book a photobooth for 4 hours, realistically the photobooth can only be in use for 3 hours.
A photobooth is great for events that have a more serious tone. For example one of the most successful events we have set up photobooths for are corporate events. Work events are a great place for a photobooth because guests get to have a little bit of fun during the day and a great break from all the work activities and information given on the day.
Photobooths are also great for events where kids and older guests or even family events as they get to take a memento home to put on the wall. Public events are a great place to put in a photobooth because it’s usually families who go. Photographers wouldn’t be suitable at public events as they would need consent from the public to get their photo taken.
