Melbourne Dj Hire have added photography to our list of services and in the last 2 years we have sent our wedding photographers to a number of weddings. Melbourne Dj Hire isn’t a wedding photography company and we have a team of photographers who work for us on a casual basis. When we send our wedding photographer out to a job we don’t have a set package where we charge a certain amount for the whole day. We charge by the hour, so some weddings we are hired for 2 hours, some we are hired for 4 and some days we are at the wedding for 10 hours.
The most important shots to get at a wedding are photos from the ceremony, the first kiss, some formal couple shots and family photos, the cutting of the cake and also the first dance. There was one wedding that Melbourne Dj hire serviced that only wanted to hire our wedding photographer for 2 hours. They created there run sheet so that all the the important shots were within the 2 hour booking. Weddings run behind time most of the time, cars are running late, the bride or groom is stressed, the photos take a lot longer, sometimes a family member is missing so we have to wait for them to get the shot. It was too rushed and stressful for our photographer and also the wedding couple and the venue as everything had to be hurried so we got to shoot everything.
When you have a wedding taking place from afternoon to late evening then it would be a great idea to hire your photographer for a long period of time. Our photographers will have the time to capture details like the rings, the decorations, the set up of the ceremony and the reception and also getting photos of the bridal party getting ready. If you have a big family it would also be a good idea to allocate some time to get some formal family shots taken.
A wedding photographer is one aspect of your wedding that you shouldn’t cut down costs on. You have spent all this money on a venue, catering, decorations, your dress, the Dj and a wedding photographer will capture all of those details and give you memories to cherish for a lifetime.
