Farm Wedding

Last weekend Melbourne Dj hire sent a team of three to a farm property in Macclesfield. This beautiful town is located near the Puffing Billy area and is full of beautiful hills, greenery and farmland. We sent our Melbourne Dj Matt, our photographer Eva and also an open photobooth to this farm property for a backyard wedding. 

This farm property had five acres of land and was located on top of a hill so the backyard had a very large open view of the green paddocks and mountains. There was a large space for a carpark, a large driveway for a portable toilet and the caterer to set up. The owners hang fairy lights along the entire backyard and undercover patio.  They used big wine barrels as tables and also hired a lot of chairs and stools for the guests to sit and enjoy the beautiful mountain backdrop. A double marquee was set up for the bar and also a photobooth. The back patio was used as a dancefloor and that was where our Melbourne Dj was set up. 

For the ceremony the couple had decided to hold it on one of the paddocks that had the mountains as the backdrop. The couple had made a beautiful wooden arch and had decorated it with tulle and native blossoms. The seating was made with hay bails and was covered with white vintage cloths. The attention to detail was so impressive at this backyard wedding, the couple decorated each of the tables with vintage and rustic candles and flowers to match their farm property themed wedding, there were hessian backdrops used as the backdrop of the cake and native flower bouquets placed around the space. 

This farm property would be a great space to hold a spring summer wedding. Space is no issue and there is a money can’t buy view. If you have a large block of land with space it would be a great idea to consider hiring it out for events. The couple were also thinking about building a wedding venue on their land, which would be an amazing idea and great investment.
