50th Disco Party

Over the weekend Melbourne DJ Hire and our roaming photographer worked at a 50th Disco Party. It was a dress up party where guests came in with their afros, their sparkly dresses and sequins. The 50th disco party was held at the Sandringham Club which was conveniently located next to the beach and had ample street parking. 
Melbourne Dj Hire have worked at the Sandringham Club before and the function area is a great sized room for a small sit-down dinner or a stand-up cocktail style party for 70-80 guests. The exterior of the venue has a classic look to it, the hallway of the venue is decorated with frames of old articles of games and history that was made at the club. A lot of guests who had an interest in local history would wonder through the club and have a read of the articles and look at all the historic photos on the walls. 
The guest list at this 50th Disco Party was mainly guests who were over 40, so a lot of classic songs were played. Songs by Madonna, Michael Jackson, ABBA and many more. The dancefloor was full for most of the night, all guests took advantage of the new restriction freedoms and hit the dancefloor without their masks and were laughing and taking a lot of photos. 
The birthday girl organised the venue to be decorated with fairy lights, disco balls and candles. Grazing boards, we organised on each table and there were even some pineapple hedgehogs placed around the venue to give the guests a nostalgic feeling of a 70s party. There was also a beautiful gold sequin backdrop organised and a balloon garland placed at the entrance to the party room for guests to take photos of their costumes upon entering. 
It was a great party with amazing costumes and because restrictions were eased, all the guests were ready to finally get out their dancing shoes, so our Melbourne DJ was extremely busy taking requests.
