Covid 19 and Weddings
Wedding planning is a stressful time in any couple’s life but throw in Covid 19 and wedding planning at the same time, it is a nightmare for a bride. Not only are dates rescheduled with the possibility to be pushed back due another outbreak but there are so many restrictions they must abide by. Each guest will need 4 square metres, so the larger venues will be able to cater to those rules. There are 20 people allowed at a wedding at this stage, this includes the celebrant, bride and groom and the two witnesses, but if you hire a Melbourne Dj, band or catering staff the contractors will also be included in the headcount. Bride and grooms who are going ahead with their weddings are holding extremely small and low-key ceremonies with just a handful of their nearest and dearests and then once we have gotten over this pandemic a reception will be held with their larger circle of friends and family. Melbourne Dj Hire have been corresponding with a lot of bride and grooms over the Covid 19 pandemic and things were finally starting to look up a few weeks ago when the government lifted some restrictions. But since the Victorian Covid 19 spike some couples have started to panic and really rethink their dates and tossing up on whether to postpone their wedding dates once again. There were a lot of weddings scheduled to take place in September and those brides are contacting Melbourne DJ Hire to inform us that they are considering changing their date. September is still 2 whole months away and last time we were at the peak of the Covid 19 pandemic it took us close to 2 months to bring the numbers down. Melbourne DJ Hire are hopeful that by September we can start getting back to working at weddings. South Australia and Western Australia have 75-100 person gatherings and if we all do the right thing now, we will get there too.
